Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Since a young age, her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mom supported her love of theatre and drama. This passion that trumps her first desire to be primatologist. As a young woman rising to the heights of fame was swift and ended with the beginning of her recognition and success. In 1998, after completing her education, she was selected to be a part of Jeunes Premiers which is a French TV talent-scouting programme sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to begin her professional acting career. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she has since gotten rid of the aforementioned societal influences. Modeling and acting were intertwined. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern fame and celebrity. The exhibit also includes self-portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as the lead in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie made international waves in the field of box office, and was awarded awards across all over the world. It is the top-grossing French film in America. The film's success brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, ranging from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
