Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Sara Ramirez was brought up by an American mother, and encountered a number of racial slurs, which made her feel unwelcome. In the ninth grade, after a school audition, where she received high praise for her singing, she started to build confidence. It not only boosted the confidence of her, but also changed the direction she pursued in her professional career. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 she began her career making her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her greatest break came in the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater fame. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended show. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
